MEANINGS IN THE WHITE CUBE. HOW GALLERY CURATOR LILIIA HOHOL HELPS FRANKIVSK UNDERSTAND ART
25.11.2019
You may have noticed: On the third floor of the Promprylad plant, there is a small room with white walls. The “Detector” gallery has been working there for the past six months: White space deeply imbued with popular art. Each of their exhibitions is full of imperceptible additional meanings and senses and is highly “refined” by the quality of the selected artists.
Kufer asked Liliia Hohol, the curator of this gallery, why Frankivsk needed modern art (and art in general), and also asked her to explain how to start understanding it. It seems that after this interview we began to understand it better.
